This knowledge base introduces or describes the This guide explains AMT self-learning procedures, gear shift actuation tests, and TCU-X1 pinout definitions. Learn how to trigger AMT configuration, verify shift solenoid operation, and diagnose sensor or mechanical failures in automated manual transmissions.

Table of contents

1、Learning Trigger

2、Actuation Test

3、TCU-X1 Pinout

1. Learning Trigger:

Integrated AMT learning requires no computer-generated commands; all learning is manually initiated.

Checking Learning Conditions:

1. Apply the parking brake (or foot brake).

2. Air pressure reaches 0.8 MPa or above.

3. Output shaft speed is 0:4, and the engine is ignited (idling).

Once all conditions are met, press the F and N keys simultaneously. When the instrument panel displays "AMT Configuring," release the F and N keys. The AMT system will automatically learn until the learning process is complete.

After approximately one minute, if the instrument panel displays "AMT Configuration Successful," learning is successful. If learning fails, perform repairs based on the failure fault code.

Note: If the self-learning process indicates a failure, first check the TB Slope 1 and Slope 2 values to see if they are 2500. If they are, the TB braking slope of the covered vehicle is low and you need to monitor the real-time TB slope. If it is below 1500, repairs are required.

2. Actuation Test

Shifting Gear:

When shift solenoid valve 1 is actuated, the shift position will change from -13 to +13 (from front to back), or from 0 to +13. Due to the top gear of the sliding sleeve, the position may change to +3 and remain in place. This is normal.

When shift solenoid valve 2 is actuated, the shift position will change from +13 to -13 (from back to front), or from 0 to -13. Due to the top gear of the sliding sleeve, the position may change to -3 and remain in place. This is normal.

Shift Selection:

When select solenoid valve 1 is actuated, the shift position will change from -13 to +13 (from left to right), or from 0 to +13. If it does not reach +13 with the main transmission in idle mode, this indicates a mechanical or sensor failure.

When select solenoid valve 2 is actuated, the shift position will change from +13 to -13 (from right to left), or from 0 to -13. If it does not reach -13 with the main transmission in idle mode, this indicates a mechanical or sensor failure.

When select solenoid valves 1 and 2 are actuated simultaneously, the shift position is required to change to 0.

Shift Interchange:

When shift interchange solenoid valve 1 is actuated, the shift interchange position will change from -12 to +12 (from front to back). If it does not reach the desired position, this indicates a stuck shift interchange or sensor failure.

When shift interchange solenoid valve 2 is actuated, the shift interchange position will change from +12 to -12 (from back to front). If it does not reach the desired position, this indicates a stuck shift interchange or sensor failure.

Range Shift:

When range shift solenoid valve 1 is actuated, the range shift position changes from -13 to +13 (from front to back). If it does not fully engage, it indicates a stuck range shift or sensor failure.

When range shift solenoid valve 2 is actuated, the range shift position changes from +13 to -13 (from back to front). If it does not fully engage, it indicates a stuck range shift or sensor failure.
